These include: – Certain debilitating and life-threatening conditions like cancer, HIV/AIDS, and any terminal illness as confirmed by a doctor’s diagnosis. – Certain severe psychiatric disorders like PTSD, if diagnosed by a certified psychiatrist. – Chronic conditions like Glaucoma, Epilepsy or Seizures, and intractable migraines unresponsive to other treatment. – Conditions that cause extreme pain or muscle spasms, such as multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, and Tourette syndrome. – Any chronic condition commonly treated with addictive pharmaceuticals, if a doctor concludes that marijuana would provide a safer, effective alternative. Additional qualifying conditions —subject to a doctor’s discretion —may include Alzheimer’s, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, autism, cachexia, Crohn’s disease, hepatitis C, Huntington’s, IBS, and various neuropathies.
Debilitating psychiatric disorders, including, but not limited to, post-traumatic stress disorder, if diagnosed by a state licensed psychiatrist
Human immunodeficiency virus or acquired immune deficiency syndrome
A chronic medical condition that is normally treated with a prescription medication that could lead to physical or psychological dependence, when a doctor determines that medical use of marijuana could be effective in treating that condition and would serve as a safer alternative to the prescription medication
Any terminal illness AND/OR
In the professional judgment of a doctor, any other chronic, debilitating or other medical condition, including, but not limited to, hepatitis C, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, Crohn’s disease, Huntington’s disease, autism, neuropathies, sickle cell anemia, agitation of Alzheimer’s disease, cachexia and wasting syndrome.

To be a caregiver for a Missouri resident, both the caregiver and patient must be able to provide proof of residency with a valid driver’s license or ID card. The caregiver also needs to be added to the patient’s medical cannabis certification application as the listed primary caregiver in order to be authorized to purchase and possess medical marijuana on the patient’s behalf.
